Education
I have worked as a teacher's assistant from 2012 until the present day in the CUNY Language Immersion Program (CLIP) at Queensborough Community College, Bayside, NY. While working there I would assist teachers with ESL students in the program by setting up classroom lessons and activities and researching curriculum topics for presentation. I also helped out by tutoring individuals and groups, setting up and conducting student field trips to museums and sites outside the classroom for research, and substituting for teachers when needed. In addition, I have worked as an English teacher and tutor from 1998 to the present day, teaching English as a second language in Korea and Japan, as tutoring students in English in New York. I have taught English to ESL students from all age groups in private English institutes and public schools, ranging from kindergarten-aged to university students. While working as a tutor I would use ESL books and other written materials, videos, writing exercises, free conversation, flashcards, group games, board games, and a wide variety of other I have also worked as a freelance translator and interpreter with a number of different Korean organizations.
Experience
I graduated from Queens College, CUNY (Chinese Language and Literature B.A. 2016) with minors in Arabic, Japanese and Korean. I also received my Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Queensborough Community College.
